Origin Properties
In 2006 we combined the commercial arms of our Griffin Homes and SPH Housing organisations to create Origin Properties. This one business focuses our commercial development activities more effectively and gives us an opportunity to develop opportunities in areas where our members have very strong presences. SPH Housing for example has been a respected force of regeneration in the Camden area since the 1920s.
Origin Properties will build our commercial portfolio and undertake housing for sale. It will help us deliver value for money in new developments and provide funding for our community development activities that underpin our objective of strengthening communities.
The board
David Fryman (Chair) is a Partner of Edward Charles & Partners. He trained as a chartered surveyor and is responsible for the landlord and tenant team. He specialises in central London and the conduct of rent reviews, lease renewals and corporate strategic advice.
Richard Mais is a founder director of Mais Management, a commercial and residential development consultancy. He was formerly chair and managing director of a commercial development and investment public property company.
Barry Neaves is Group Finance Director of First Wessex Housing Group, a registered social landlord with 17,000 properties, mainly in Hampshire.
Laurie Soden is a developer of commercial and residential property and holds a number of non-executive directorships.
