John Beha

John Beha (Chair) is a qualified accountant and experienced housing finance consultant. He is director of Beha Williams Norman and retired in 2004. He has extensive experience of housing and local government finance and was Director of Finance for the London Borough of Hackney before moving to the City in 1987.

Stephen Hargrave has worked in banking, investment management and the newspaper industry. He is now Chairman of the publicly quoted Print Services Group.


Mike De'Ath is Director of housing and regeneration agency HTA. He is an architect, and works across masterplanning and housing provision in the UK, but specialises in resident engagement and estate regeneration. His prime focus is emerging policy and contributing to the debate on delivery of sustainable places.


Sudhin Chatterji is a director of SXC Developments Ltd and has worked as a developer to provide mixed tenure social housing with various RSLs.


Katie Bosdet is currently Head of Portfolio, Consumer Lending and General Insurance at Barclays, and has a wide experience of finance.  She has a varied background of experience including a role as an auditor responsibile for regulatory compliance.  She sits on the Consumer Lending Insurance Risks and Controls Committee.

Alison Lowton
is a Solicitor and has worked in London local government for many years. Her last permanent role was as Director of Law Administration for the London Borough of Camden. Since retiring she has undertaken investigations and interim management roles.


Paul Dack is the Finance Director of the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust and Deputy Director of Finance for the Josepth Rowntree Foundation.

Andrew Potter has 15 years housing experience and currently works for LB Lewisham. He previously worked for Ealing Homes (an ALMO) as Director of Housing Management. He also sits on Hackney Homes (ALMO) board.


David Fryman is a Partner of Edward Charles and Partners, Surveyors, where he is responsible for the Landlord and Tenant Team. He specialises in the central London office market, the conduct of rent reviews and lease renewals, and corporate strategic advice.


Richard Mais is a founder director of Mais Management Ltd, a commerical and residential development consultancy. Formerly Chair and Managing Director of a public property company specialising in commercial development and investment.



The Chair

John Beha is one of the country's leading experts in housing finance. He was a director of housing and finance consultant Beha Williams Norman Ltd, which he co-founded in 1988. This followed a 21 year career in local government that included six years as Director of Finance and Deputy Chief Executive for an inner London local authority.

By profession an accountant, John is a member of the Chartered Insititue of Public Finance and Accountancy. He joined the board of SPH Housing in 1987, served as treasurer and became chair in 2000. He led the discussions leading to the formation of SPH Housing.

He is trying to retire from professional life gradually, with limited success, and in his limited free time is an avid Chelsea supporter, collector of music and eclectic reader.

Karen Wilson

Group Chief Executive: Karen Wilson, BA (Hons), FCIH
Karen Wilson is the Chief Executive of the Origin Group, comprising SPH Housing, Griffin Homes and Origin Properties.

Karen has extensive experience and expertise gained from a career in housing spanning 25 years. Starting out as a management trainee with Sheffield City Council, Karen has since worked for London Borough of Greenwich, as Regional Director and then Director of Planning and Operations for over 10 years at Metropolitan Housing Trust and most recently at English Churches Housing Group as Director of Operations.
